Lead Oxide

Lead Oxide is formed by oxidation of lead in liquid & solid forms. In general terms these can be either lead monoxide or "Litharge" (PbO); Lead Tetroxide or "Red Lead" (Pb3O4); or black or "Grey" Oxide (A mixture of 70 percent lead monoxide and 30 percent metallic lead) (2Pbo.Pb). Lead oxides are family of oxides that vary in color (red, yellow and grey/green) as well as in degree of oxidation (PbO, Pb3O4, PbO2).
