Aluminium Extrusion

Extrusion is a process used in manufacturing to fabricate parts of uniform cross-sections by squeezing the material through a high-pressure outlet. While many metals are used for extrusion, the use of aluminium extrusions is growing rapidly worldwide. They are increasingly used in a variety of new applications used for the advantages it offers.

We offer extruded aluminium profiles, semi-manufactured components, systems and finished products - meeting our customers’ demands for performance, quality, precision and economy. We can handle your extrusion orders, no matter how simple or complex. We have a wide variety of standard shapes for you to choose from. However, our extrusion capabilities are not limited to those. We can also extrude customized, fabricated shapes that are unique to your needs.

Advantages of Aluminum Extrusion

Aluminium Extrusion is considered to be the most economical way to make parts with a constant cross section, the extrusion process takes the advantages inherent in aluminum and expands upon them. The extrusion process is both economical and versatile.

Unlike machining, where the cost of producing each piece is additive, extrusion can reproduce a shape indefinitely with no additional preparation costs.
Cost of Extrusion dies is much less than roll-forming dies.
Sometimes the cost of a welding jig is significantly higher than an extrusion die for the same shape thus making extrusion almost always less expensive than fabricating shapes by welding.
When a product that has traditionally been made from steel or plastic is compared over its entire product life cycle also taking into account reduced machining and assembly times, aluminium extrusions will often prove to be the most cost effective and environmentally friendly solution.
Parts made with sand and permanent-mold casting often require extensive finishing before use. Aluminum extruding produces a wrought structure with relatively close dimensional control.

Aluminium has many advantages over other materials; besides its high strength to weight properties. Examples of the advantages to using Aluminium:-

Thermal and electrical conductivity
Excellent joining, forming, and machining
Cost effectiveness
High strength-to-weight ratio
Flexibility of size and shapes
Corrosion resistance
Adaptability to high temperatures
Easy to Recycle

Aluminium is the most widely used metal after steel. Aluminium is extremely light weight about 1/3 of that of copper or steel. Because of its excellent strength to weight ratio, it becomes the natural choice for transportation industry.

Aluminium displays excellent machinability and plasticity ideal for bending, cutting, spinning, hammering, forging and drawing. Aluminium can be easily fabricated into various forms such as foil, sheets, geometric shapes, rod, tube and wire.

Aluminium is an excellent electric conductor and is the most popular material for use in power transmission cables. Aluminium is also a good heat conductor and is often used for automobile engine parts and industrial heat exchangers.

Because it is one of the most abundant metals on Earth, aluminum is among the least expensive metals from which to choose.

Aluminum's excellent heat conductivity makes it an ideal choice for heat-dissipating devices.
